About the iPhone 16 Pro Max

The iPhone 16 Pro Max launched in September 2024 with the largest screen Apple had put on an iPhone: 6.9 inches, with 120 Hz ProMotion, Always-On mode, the Dynamic Island and very thin borders. It runs the A18 Pro chip with 8 GB of RAM, so it has full Apple Intelligence on iOS 27, and it has the longest battery life of any iPhone up to that point, 4,685 mAh rated for up to 33 hours of video.

Cameras are the same as the 16 Pro: a 48 MP Fusion main camera, a 48 MP ultra wide with macro, a 12 MP 5x telephoto and a LiDAR scanner. It records 4K at 120 fps in Dolby Vision, ProRes and Log, with four studio-quality mics. Camera Control on the right side opens the camera and handles zoom and exposure.

The frame is Grade 5 titanium and the phone weighs 227 g. It charges over USB-C with USB 3 speeds and 25 W MagSafe. Storage starts at 256 GB and goes up to 1 TB. It has 5G, Wi-Fi 7, IP68 and the Action button. The UAE and international model A3295 has a nano-SIM tray plus eSIM. Colours are Black, White, Natural and Desert Titanium.

Still worth buying in 2026?

Yes. The 16 Pro Max is one generation old and still one of the best phones you can buy. It runs iOS 27 with full Apple Intelligence, the 6.9-inch screen is the same size as the 17 Pro Max, and battery life is among the best on any iPhone.

What the 17 Pro Max adds: a 48 MP telephoto with 8x optical-quality zoom, 12 GB of RAM, an 18 MP front camera, a vapour chamber and an even bigger battery. Great for video creators and gamers. For everyone else the 16 Pro Max does the same job at a renewed price that makes far more sense.

Availability in the UAE

Apple discontinued the iPhone 16 Pro Max in September 2025, the day the 17 Pro Max was announced. New units have not been available in the UAE since, and Apple's own trade-in values for it have started to come down.

What does Excellent Grade mean at Refab?

What does the 18-month warranty cover?

Our 18-month warranty covers hardware faults that show up in normal use, for example a speaker, camera or charging port that stops working. It does not cover physical damage like a cracked screen, or liquid damage. It is the longest warranty on renewed iPhones in the UAE, and six months longer than Apple's own one-year cover on a new phone.

Can I return the phone if I change my mind?

Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to return it. Returns are not free: there is an AED 100 return fee, which covers collection and re-inspection. The phone needs to come back in the same condition, with everything that was in the box.

How fast is delivery in the UAE?

Delivery is free anywhere in the UAE. In Dubai it usually arrives within one day, sometimes the same day if you order early. For Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the other emirates, allow up to four days.
