About the iPhone 14 Pro Max

The iPhone 14 Pro Max was Apple's biggest and most expensive phone in 2022. It has a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with 120 Hz ProMotion, Always-On mode and the Dynamic Island, with peak brightness of 2000 nits outdoors. The A16 Bionic chip and 6 GB of RAM handle anything you throw at it, and the battery is the largest Apple had put in an iPhone at the time: 4,323 mAh, rated for up to 29 hours of video playback.

The cameras match the 14 Pro: a 48 MP main camera with a large sensor, a 12 MP ultra wide, a 12 MP 3x telephoto and a LiDAR scanner. It shoots ProRAW and ProRes, and Action mode steadies handheld video. The stainless steel frame makes it solid but heavy at 240 g, the heaviest iPhone ever made.

It charges over Lightning and supports MagSafe. Storage runs from 128 GB to 1 TB. The UAE and international model A2894 has a nano-SIM tray plus eSIM. Colours are Space Black, Silver, Gold and Deep Purple.

Still worth buying in 2026?

Yes, if you want a big screen and a battery that lasts two days of normal use. The 14 Pro Max is still a fast phone in 2026, it runs iOS 27, and the 48 MP camera is not far behind newer models in daylight.

What you do not get: USB-C, Apple Intelligence, and the 5x zoom that came with the 15 Pro Max. The weight is also worth thinking about; 240 g is heavy in a pocket. If those are deal-breakers, the 15 Pro Max is lighter, has USB-C and supports AI features.

It suits people who watch a lot of video, work from their phone, or want the biggest iPhone screen for the lowest price. For a renewed flagship, the gap between what it costs and what it does is hard to beat.

Availability in the UAE

Apple discontinued the iPhone 14 Pro Max in September 2023 when the 15 Pro Max replaced it. There has been no new stock through Apple or its UAE retailers since then, which is why prices for renewed units have settled where they are.

Is the iPhone 15 Pro Max much better than the 14 Pro Max?

It is lighter (titanium), has USB-C, a 5x telephoto, the Action button and supports Apple Intelligence. Screen size and resolution are the same. If you mostly want the big screen and long battery, the 14 Pro Max does that for a lot less.

Does the iPhone 14 Pro Max get Apple Intelligence?

No. Apple Intelligence needs the iPhone 15 Pro or newer. The 14 Pro Max runs iOS 27 with everything else, including the new Siri improvements that do not depend on on-device AI.

How fast is delivery in the UAE?

Delivery is free anywhere in the UAE. In Dubai it usually arrives within one day, sometimes the same day if you order early. For Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the other emirates, allow up to four days.

Can I return the phone if I change my mind?

Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to return it. Returns are not free: there is an AED 100 return fee, which covers collection and re-inspection. The phone needs to come back in the same condition, with everything that was in the box.

What does the 18-month warranty cover?

Our 18-month warranty covers hardware faults that show up in normal use, for example a speaker, camera or charging port that stops working. It does not cover physical damage like a cracked screen, or liquid damage. It is the longest warranty on renewed iPhones in the UAE, and six months longer than Apple's own one-year cover on a new phone.

What does Excellent Grade mean at Refab?

It is the only condition we sell. Excellent Grade means no visible scratches on the screen or body when you hold the phone normally, an original Apple screen, Face ID and every button working, and battery health of 90% or more. If a phone does not meet that, we do not list it.
