About the iPhone 16 Pro

The iPhone 16 Pro launched in September 2024 with a slightly bigger 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display, the thinnest borders on any iPhone at the time, 120 Hz ProMotion, Always-On mode and the Dynamic Island. It runs the A18 Pro chip with 8 GB of RAM, built for Apple Intelligence, and it brought the 5x telephoto camera down from the Pro Max for the first time.

The camera system is the full Pro set: a 48 MP Fusion main camera, a new 48 MP ultra wide with macro, the 12 MP 5x telephoto (120 mm) and a LiDAR scanner. It shoots 4K at 120 fps in Dolby Vision, records ProRes and Log, and has four studio-quality microphones. The Camera Control button on the right side opens the camera and controls zoom and exposure.

The frame is Grade 5 titanium, weight is 199 g, and charging is over USB-C with USB 3 speeds and 25 W MagSafe. Battery is 3,582 mAh, rated for up to 27 hours of video. It has 5G, Wi-Fi 7, IP68 and the Action button. Storage runs from 128 GB to 1 TB. The UAE and international model A3292 has a nano-SIM tray plus eSIM. Colours are Black, White, Natural and Desert Titanium.

Still worth buying in 2026?

Yes. In 2026 the iPhone 16 Pro is a very safe buy: it runs iOS 27 with full Apple Intelligence, the A18 Pro is fast, and it has the 5x zoom and 120 Hz screen that used to be Pro Max only. It is one generation behind the 17 Pro and two behind the 18 Pro, which is exactly where renewed prices get attractive.

The 17 Pro moved to an aluminium unibody, added a 48 MP telephoto with 8x optical-quality zoom, 12 GB of RAM and a bigger battery. Good upgrades for creators; for most people the 16 Pro takes photos that look the same.

It suits anyone who wants a compact Pro phone with the best camera they can get for the money, and plans to keep it three or four years.

Availability in the UAE

Apple discontinued the iPhone 16 Pro in September 2025 when the 17 Pro was announced. Pro models never stay in Apple's line-up after the next generation, so new units have been gone from the UAE for a year.

How fast is delivery in the UAE?

Delivery is free anywhere in the UAE. In Dubai it usually arrives within one day, sometimes the same day if you order early. For Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the other emirates, allow up to four days.

Can I return the phone if I change my mind?

Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to return it. Returns are not free: there is an AED 100 return fee, which covers collection and re-inspection. The phone needs to come back in the same condition, with everything that was in the box.

What does the 18-month warranty cover?

Our 18-month warranty covers hardware faults that show up in normal use, for example a speaker, camera or charging port that stops working. It does not cover physical damage like a cracked screen, or liquid damage. It is the longest warranty on renewed iPhones in the UAE, and six months longer than Apple's own one-year cover on a new phone.

What does Excellent Grade mean at Refab?

It is the only condition we sell. Excellent Grade means no visible scratches on the screen or body when you hold the phone normally, an original Apple screen, Face ID and every button working, and battery health of 90% or more. If a phone does not meet that, we do not list it.
