About the iPhone 15 Pro Max

The iPhone 15 Pro Max launched in September 2023 and was the first iPhone with a 5x telephoto camera. Apple used a folded "tetraprism" lens to fit a 120 mm zoom into a phone, so you can shoot across a football pitch or pull in the Burj Khalifa without the mush you get from digital zoom. It joins a 48 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra wide and a LiDAR scanner.

It has a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display with 120 Hz ProMotion, Always-On and the Dynamic Island. The A17 Pro chip with 8 GB of RAM supports Apple Intelligence. The titanium frame brought the weight down to 221 g, 19 g less than the 14 Pro Max, and the Action button replaced the mute switch. Charging and data are over USB-C with USB 3 speeds.

Battery is 4,422 mAh, rated for up to 29 hours of video, and it is the model most people buy when they want two days between charges. Storage starts at 256 GB and goes to 1 TB. It has 5G, Wi-Fi 6E and IP68. The UAE and international model A3106 has a nano-SIM tray plus eSIM. Colours are Black, White, Blue and Natural Titanium.

Still worth buying in 2026?

Yes. In 2026 the iPhone 15 Pro Max is the cheapest big iPhone that has all the modern basics: USB-C, 5x zoom, a 120 Hz Always-On screen, titanium and Apple Intelligence. It runs iOS 27 and the A17 Pro chip is still quick.

The 16 Pro Max improves the ultra wide to 48 MP, adds Camera Control, a 6.9-inch screen and around four hours more battery. The 17 Pro Max goes further with 12 GB RAM and an 8x zoom. Those are nice to have; none of them change how the phone feels day to day.

It suits anyone who wants the big screen and battery, shoots a lot of photos with zoom, or wants a flagship they will keep for four years without paying flagship money.

Availability in the UAE

Apple discontinued the iPhone 15 Pro Max in September 2024, the day the 16 Pro Max was announced. New units stopped shipping to UAE retailers at that point, so anything sold as new today is old stock.

It is lighter (titanium), has USB-C, a 5x telephoto, the Action button and supports Apple Intelligence. Screen size and resolution are the same. If you mostly want the big screen and long battery, the 14 Pro Max does that for a lot less.

How long does the iPhone 15 Pro Max battery last?

Up to 29 hours of video playback by Apple's rating, which in real use means a full day with a lot left, or two lighter days. Renewed units at Refab have 90% or higher battery health.

Does the iPhone 15 Pro Max have 5x optical zoom?

Yes. It was the first iPhone with a 5x telephoto (120 mm), using a folded tetraprism lens. The smaller 15 Pro has 3x. The 5x lens is 12 MP and works well in daylight; in low light the phone often switches to a crop from the 48 MP main camera.

Does the iPhone 15 Pro Max get Apple Intelligence?

Yes. With the A17 Pro chip and 8 GB RAM it supports Apple Intelligence on iOS 27, including the upgraded Siri, writing tools and Image Playground. The most demanding on-device models are reserved for the 17 Pro and newer.

Why does the iPhone 15 Pro Max start at 256 GB?

Apple dropped the 128 GB option on the Pro Max from this generation. Choices are 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB. For most people 256 GB is plenty, even with lots of 4K video.

How heavy is the iPhone 15 Pro Max?

221 g, 19 g lighter than the 14 Pro Max thanks to the titanium frame. It is still a big phone, but the difference is easy to feel if you are coming from the 14 Pro Max.

How fast is delivery in the UAE?

Delivery is free anywhere in the UAE. In Dubai it usually arrives within one day, sometimes the same day if you order early. For Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the other emirates, allow up to four days.

Can I return the phone if I change my mind?

Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to return it. Returns are not free: there is an AED 100 return fee, which covers collection and re-inspection. The phone needs to come back in the same condition, with everything that was in the box.

What does the 18-month warranty cover?

Our 18-month warranty covers hardware faults that show up in normal use, for example a speaker, camera or charging port that stops working. It does not cover physical damage like a cracked screen, or liquid damage. It is the longest warranty on renewed iPhones in the UAE, and six months longer than Apple's own one-year cover on a new phone.

What does Excellent Grade mean at Refab?

It is the only condition we sell. Excellent Grade means no visible scratches on the screen or body when you hold the phone normally, an original Apple screen, Face ID and every button working, and battery health of 90% or more. If a phone does not meet that, we do not list it.
