How and when do I get paid?
Once our engineers complete the 40-point technical inspection and verify your device's condition, your payout is processed immediately. You can choose to receive a direct transfer to your bank account or a Refab Gift Card to apply toward your next upgrade.
Do I need to include the charger or original box?
No, you do not need to send us the original charging cable, power adapter, or retail box. We only require the device itself. Please ensure you remove any phone cases, SIM cards, or screen protectors before handing it to the courier.
Is my personal data safe?
Absolutely. Before entering our circular supply chain, every device undergoes a strict data wipe to NIST 800-88 standards. Your personal information is completely and permanently destroyed.
What happens if my device condition doesn't match my selection?
If our assessment finds that the device falls into a different condition tier (for example, detecting hardware issues that weren't immediately visible), we will send you a revised quote. You are under no obligation to accept the new quote—if you decline, we will return your device to you completely free of charge.
Do you accept broken or faulty devices?
Yes. We accept devices ranging from Flawless to Broken But Working (including cracked screens and degraded batteries below 81% health). The trade-in value reflects the condition, but almost every functional device retains value on the secondary market.
